CONTEXT
About Dutch Netherlands
Dustin Netherlands, a leading IT supplier with annual sales of more than 500 million euros, faced the challenge of managing a large number of orders while providing optimal customer service. They needed a solution to ensure accurate, up-to-date and reliable order data.
By partnering with Onetrail, Dustin Netherlands achieved total control of the order and logistics process, enabling them to maintain minimal stock and effectively manage drop shipments from suppliers to customers.
THE CHALLENGE
Accurate, complete and reliable information
At such a large organisation as Dustin Netherlands, large volumes of orders are processed daily. Working with a diverse range of suppliers, both large and small, poses additional challenges.
Dustin Netherlands wanted to automate the ordering process as much as possible to focus on delivering the best possible service to their customers. To achieve this, they needed a partner who could provide specialised expertise in managing the accuracy, completeness and reliability of information within their order flow.
OUR SOLUTION
All suppliers connected through one interface
We proposed connecting all Dustin Netherlands suppliers to the Trading Partner Network. This allows all orders to be collected and delivered directly to the ERP system through a single connection.
To support suppliers without EDI capabilities, we developed an alternative called the Onetrail Order Manager. This online Web application enables suppliers, regardless of their technical capabilities, to exchange requested order data with Dustin Netherlands. And to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information, we monitor the flow of data 24/7.
THE RESULT
100% insight in drop shipments
Dustin Netherlands now has 100% visibility into drop shipments and effectively manages the ordering and logistics process. Customers are well informed of the latest order status and the company can quickly process a large number of orders. The integration of Onetrail’s solutions has also made it easier to work with all vendors, regardless of their size or technical capabilities.
In an interview with Marcel Joosten, Marketing & E-commerce Director at Dustin Netherlands, he shared his experience working with Onetrail.

Marcel: “We have always tried to automate the ordering process as much as possible so that we can focus on providing the best possible service. Onetrail monitors a large number of connections with our suppliers and obtains automated feedback on our orders, open deliveries, shipments and billing. This information is sent directly to our system, which we can then use to ensure our customers stay well informed.”

Marcel: “In drop shipment scenarios, the suppliers take care of the deliveries, making us dependent on their information. Previously, we were unaware of a completed delivery until we received the invoice.”

Onetrail came up with the following solution: the possibility for suppliers to enter and manage orders and product data in addition to EDI with an easy online tool. With this tool (Onetrail Supplier Portal) suppliers can enter their orders and product data manually or via FTP and have them delivered to Coolblue.
Onetrail takes care of the checking, translation, addition or correction of all entered data to the format requested by Coolblue. The data stream that enters at Coolblue, is therefore always accurate and reliable. This way, Coolblue can always confidently communicate this information to the customers on the website.
